GSO Test

Lessons

That last a lifetime.

Children (here)

We offer weekly children’s lessons for swimmers aged 3½ - 14+

We recommend at least 3½ as the best starting age as the additional 6 months makes a big difference.

Babies and Toddlers (here)

Starting at 4 months with a parent/adult accompanying the baby in the water.

Advanced swimmer lessons (here)

For swimmers who can swim 100m metres plus.

The focus is on developing technique alongside stamina and maintaining swimmers enjoyment and love of the activity.

Aquakids holds an annual gala for our lengths swimmers along with Group 5 to experience a competitive event.

Private Lessons (here)

The swimmer has their own teacher and they work towards the awards as well as developing areas of weakness specific to that individual.

Life after Aquakids

Swimmers can stay as long as they want - if we could let you stay forever, we would!

But we know some swimmers want to take it that extra step further, whether it is to swim competitively or to specialise in a specific Aquatic Discipline. Below are a few suggested options.

Swimming clubs

Chislehurst Millennium is a good introduction.

O'Jays, Beckenham and Bromley Swimming Club are also in the area

Diving

Highgate Diving club run at Swanley Leisure Centre

Water Polo

Another club at Swanley Leisure Centre

Synchronised Swimming

I always recommend my colleague who represented GB both as a swimmer and coach and runs a synchro club Tuesdays at Shooters Hill- ABC swim school.

RLSS Lifeguard & Swim England Level 1 Swim Assistant.

Age 16 swimmers can take the RLSS Lifeguard qualification and

I love it when Aquakids swimmers return as Aquatic Helpers and Assistants - so keep that in mind once they are in Year 10.

Duke of Edinburgh

Aquakids also support Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
